Time To Go Medieval On Dany's Ass E-mail

Asked where the situation with Heatley stands on Thursday, general manager Bryan Murray replied, "Nowhere. He's an Ottawa Senator now." -- TSN.ca

Here's my pledge to you, Bryan.  I vow to sing your name in psalmic praise from every roof top, declare you a living saint, and quite possibly allow any member of your immediate family to date, marry and perhaps even copulate with my as yet unconcieved daughter for nothing more than your promise to grow a set and sacrifice the entire 2009-2010 season.

I need an example, Bryan, a blood sacrifice if you will.  No trades, no demotion to to the minors so he can sneak away on waivers...no nothing.  He either plays for us, or he doesn't play at all.  Total.  Fucking.  Scorched.  Earth.  Good luck making Stevie's Olympic Team then.

And if he holds out (which he'll have no choice but to do unless he wants to face our unending fury), I want his metaphoric head on a spike planted outside the city gates with a sign reading "Ye Be Warned" hung around his severed neck, there to serve as a cautionary tale to other like minded pussies for the next six (unpaid) years.

In other words, I want Dany Heatley to pay for the damage he has wrought.

He demanded a trade and then refused the very thing he demanded.  He single handedly crippled your ability to sign any free agents worth having while sucking four million dollars out of Emperor Eugene's pocket as you had no choice but to watch our division rivals go screaming past us in both talent and depth.

You and I both know we're fucked next season.  The playoffs, let alone a title shot, are nothing but a pipe dream.  And you and I both know it's all due to Dany Heatley.  But know this.  I'm okay with that.  I can accept that, on one condition.

Make him pay, Bryan.  Give me my revenge.

Bravo to you, and if the Bryan does it, I'll immediately install the Sens as the team I hate the least out of all the other teams on the planet. Fuck Dany Heatley.

Ironic, that this little Heatley schmozzle has made Spezza look like a super guy, isn't it? Who saw Mr. Lazy Back Pass and Questionable Motivation being the choice over Uber-Sniper Heatley? It's like people favouring Kovalev over Koivu ...oh, wait.

If Heater-baby does show up for training camp, he makes too much just to let him ride the pine, or sit up in the comfy box, safely away from our scorn. I say we put him into a fourth line role alonside Schubie-doo, another player who we all know isn't happy with his ice time and role on our team. Tell them both that the one who does a better job hitting everything that moves get promoted/traded. Maybe Schubie would learn how to put some of his howitzers on target, and perhaps (although unlikely) Dany-baby would learn what it means to be on a TEAM. Your thoughts SLC?

An interesting idea, but I don't think it would work. Dany isn't a grinder (or hitter) and telling him he has to would be disastrous for everybody.

If Doucheldorf actually reports, he should go back the first line, where he belongs. Believe it or not, I think he'll be on his best behaviour and actually play quite well with a minimum of bitch...at least until the Olympics are finished.

There is no possible scenario for Heatley to be in the minors or sneak away on waivers, he has a No Movement Clause (NMC) as opposed to a No Trade Clause (NTC).

The NMC ensures he will be playing for the Senators, traded to a team of his choosing or sitting out. Dany cannot be moved from the active roster for any reason what so ever.

Ah...thanks for clearing that up, Ghost. I hadn't realized the differences between the two.
